This spicebox design was inspired by the compartmented Japanese Inro box. The Hebrew word “bsamim” (“spices”), is handcut from the pewter so that the fragrance comes through the open letters. A sterling silver chain and handmade pewter bead act as a handle for the spicebox as it is passed from person to person, each inhaling and feeling renewed by the spices’ sweet aroma.
